Below you will find all the relevant information on SuperValu Getaway Breaks including details on price, booking periods, exclusion policies and cancellation policies. You may also like to visit our FAQ section where you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions. The below Terms and Conditions are effective from January 1st 2010.
Terms and Conditions - General |
- All offers are subject to promotional availability and while availability is all-year-round, there may be limited availability during bank holidays and other peak periods.
- All participating properties are approved by Fáilte Ireland or the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
- By agreeing to participate in this promotion you are agreeing to allow SuperValu Getaway Breaks / Loyaltybuild to pass on your information to the accommodation provider in order to complete the booking and allow booking confirmation.
- For travel in the Republic of Ireland the Euro price applies. For travel to Northern Ireland the Sterling price applies.
- All bookings made with a Credit or Laser Card will incur a processing fee of €1.99 / £1.59 with the exception of Holiday Home Breaks, Family Suite Breaks, 5-Star Hotel Breaks, 4 Night Hotel Breaks and 5 Night Hotel Breaks where the processing fee will be €5.00 / £3.50.
- All cancellations will incur a loss of the booking deposit. Changes or transfers will incur a processing fee equivalent to the fees stated per break below.
- Cancellations can only be made via the call centre or the Manage Booking facility on the Getaway Breaks website. Transfer can only be mad via the call centre. Cancellations and transfers can only be made outside the minimum cancellation period. Cancellation periods vary by break and are detailed below.
- If you cancel your break within the minimum cancellation period or do not arrive for your break, the late cancellation charge/ no show fee will be applied to the card that you used to pay the booking deposit. By making the booking you accept and agree that if you incur a late cancellation fee/ no show charge, you are authorizing your card to be charged.
- Where stated 'two persons sharing' a double or twin room will be the accommodation provided.
- Summer pricing, where stated, applies where any day of your break falls in July or August.
- Musgrave Retail Partners and its promotional agent, Loyaltybuild, accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or disappointment suffered by customers due to over-booking errors, oversights or delays in processing payment or service issues at participating accommodations for which they have no direct responsibility.
- SuperValu Getaway Breaks is marketed in conjunction with Loyaltybuild Ltd. Loyaltybuild Ltd. acts as an agent of the hotel accommodation provider in the provision of the accommodation for SuperValu Getaway Breaks.
- All deposits are payable to Loyaltybuild as a collecting agent on behalf of the hotel and include VAT.
- Types of Accommodation and Room Occupancy: Twin Room - accommodates 2 adults Double Room - accommodates 2 adults Standard Room - accommodates 2 adults and 1 child under the age of 10 Family Room - accommodates 2 adults and up to 2 children under the ages of 10.

Hotel Breaks - €99 / £69 pps
- 2 night weekend or 3 night midweek break for 2 people sharing, including breakfast on each morning and a table d'hôte dinner on one evening (minimum 3-star standard).
- Midweek breaks can start on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.
- €99 / £69 per person sharing (€198 / £138 per break).
- A deposit of €23.96 / £13.80 is payable when booking a break and the balance of €174.04 / £124.20 is payable directly to the hotel.
- Accommodation is free for children aged 10 years or under when sharing with two adults in a standard (1 child) or family room (up to 2 children), subject to availability. Children's meals are charged at €5.00 / £3.50 per extra child's breakfast and €9.00 / £6.50 for evening meals.
- Valid to book and stay until 29th December 2010
- Minimum cancellation period of 48 hours, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of the first night's accommodation. Transfers and changes will incur a fee equivalent to the deposit.
- Summer pricing: €119 / £84 per person sharing (€238 / £168 per break) with a deposit of €28.80 / £16.80 payable when booking your break and the balance of €209.20 / £151.20 payable directly to the hotel.

4-Star Hotel Breaks - €109 / £75 pps
- 2 night weekend or 3 night midweek break for two persons sharing, including breakfast on each morning and a table d'hôte dinner on one evening.
- Midweek breaks can start on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.
- €109 / £75 per person sharing (€218 / £150 per break).
- A deposit of €26.38 / £15 is payable when booking a break and the balance of €191.62 / £135 is payable directly to the hotel.
- Accommodation is free for children aged 10 years or under when sharing with two adults in a standard (1 child) or family room (up to 2 children), subject to availability. Children's meals are charged at €5.00 / £3.50 per extra child's breakfast and €9.00 / £6.50 for evening meals.
- Valid to book and stay until 29th December 2010.
- Minimum cancellation period of 48 hours, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of the first night's accommodation. Transfers and changes will incur a fee equivalent to the deposit.
- Summer pricing: €129 / £90 per person sharing (€258 / £180 per break) with a deposit of €31.22 / £18 payable when booking your break and the balance of €226.78 /£162 payable directly to the hotel.

B&B Hotel Breaks
- 2 night break for two persons sharing, including breakfast on each morning.
- €75 / £55 per person sharing (€150 / £110 per break).
- Deposit of €23.60 / £14.30 is payable when booking a break and the balance of €126.41 / £95.70 is payable directly to the hotel.
- Accommodation is free for children aged 10 years or under when sharing with two adults in a standard (1 child) or family room (up to 2 children), subject to availability. Children's meals are charged at €5.00 / £3.50 per extra child's breakfast.
- Valid to book and stay until 29th December 2010.
- Minimum cancellation period of 48 hours, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of the first night's accommodation. Transfers and changes will incur a fee equivalent to the deposit.
Special promotional prices for this offer:
Booking Period; 11th April 2010 to 31st of July. 2010 - Special promotional price of €65 pps, which is valid for stays up to the 31st of Aug. 2010. Deposit of €20.45 is payable when booking a break and the balance of €109.55 is payable directly to the hotel. Changes or Transfers to your booking can only be made between the 11th of April 2010 and the 31st of July 2010 only. There is an adminstration fee of €20.45 for each room transfer.
Room Only Hotel Breaks
- 2 night break for two persons sharing, Room Only.
- €49 / £39 per person sharing (€98 / £78 per break).
- Deposit of €18.61 / £9.44 is payable when booking a break and the balance of €79.39 / £76.17 is payable directly to the hotel.
- Accommodation is free for children aged 10 years or under when sharing with two adults in a standard (1 child) or family room (up to 2 children), subject to availability.
- Valid to book until March 31st 2010 and stay until May 31st 2010.
- Minimum cancellation period of 48 hours, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of the first night's accommodation. Transfers and changes within same offer and dates only and will incur a fee equivalent to the deposit.

One Night Hotel Breaks
- 1 night break for two persons sharing, including breakfast on each morning.
- €39 per person sharing (€78 per break).
- Deposit of €14.16 is payable when booking a break and the balance of €68.84 is payable directly to the hotel.
- Accommodation is free for children aged 10 years or under when sharing with two adults in a standard (1 child) or family room (up to 2 children), subject to availability. Children's meals are charged at €5.00 / £3.50 per extra child's breakfast.
- Valid to book and stay until 30th September 2010.
- Minimum cancellation period of 48 hours, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of the first night's accommodation. Transfers and changes will incur a fee equivalent to the deposit.

Holiday Home Breaks - €299 / £210 per break
- Up to seven nights self catering break for up to six people in 3- and 4-star holiday homes.
- €299 / £210 per break.
- Full break amount is payable when booking.
- Valid to book and stay until 29th December 2010.
- Important: Heat and Electricity charges are extra and must be paid directly to the holiday home on departure. Rates will vary depending on the holiday home booked; however, €10 per day for each can be used as a general guide. Holiday homes will require a security deposit on arrival of up to €150.00, which is refundable. Security deposits may be higher during special events and holiday periods.
- Once a holiday home break is booked, the holiday home will send you full confirmation details along with check-in process and their terms and conditions.
- All extra charges will be fully communicated on the confirmation provided to you by your chosen holiday home, which is received after a booking is made.
- Guest arrival time is after 4:00pm and departure time is before 10:00am. Additional nights or services availed of must be paid directly to the holiday home.
- Minimum cancellation period is 21 days, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will result in a cancellation charge which is the loss of the full break amount. Transfers and changes will incur a fee of €36.18 / £21.10 (€60.38 / £35 for summer breaks).
- Summer pricing: €499 / £350 per holiday home. Full break amount is payable when booking your break.
€449 Special Promotional Offer (€50 off in July and August )
General Holiday Home Terms and conditions apply with the following exceptions:
- Valid for new bookings made between the 10th of May 2010 and the 27th of August 2010
- Valid on select Holiday Homes participating in this offer only. Limited Availability.
- Special Promotion Rate of €449. No Transfers between other Getaway Break Offers.
- Full payment of €449 plus a €5 processing fee required at time of booking
- Cancellations outside of 21 days of arrival will result in loss of €54.33 of the total price of your break and €394.67 being refunded
- No refunds for cancellations inside of 21 days of arrival
- Any changes post booking will be deemed a cancellation

4-Night Hotel Breaks - €299 per break for 4 nights B&B
- 4 night break for two adults and up to two children.
- Offer includes breakfast on each morning for up to 2 adults and 2 children (under 10).
- €299 per break for 3- or 4-star hotels.
- Accommodation and breakfast is included for 2 adults and up to 2 children aged 10 years or under when sharing with two adults in a standard (1 child) or family room (up to 2 children), subject to availability.
- The cost of bed and breakfast for any additional children or children over the age of 10 is payable directly to the hotel.
- A deposit is payable when booking a break (€36.18) and the balance of (€262.82) is payable directly to the hotel.
- Valid to book and stay until 31st August 2010.
- Minimum cancellation period of 48 hours, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of the first night's accommodation. Transfers and changes will incur a fee equivalent to the deposit.

5-Night Hotel Breaks - €159 pps for 5 nights B&B
- 5 night break for two persons sharing in 3 or 4-star hotels, including breakfast on each morning.
- €159 per person sharing (€318 per break) for 3-star and €179 per person sharing (€358 per break) for 4-star.
- Accommodation is free for children aged 10 years or under when sharing with two adults in a standard (1 child) or family room (up to 2 children), subject to availability. Children's meals are charged at €5.00 / £3.50 per extra child's breakfast.
- A deposit is payable when booking a break (€38.48 for 3-star and €43.32 for 4-star) and the balance of (€279.52 for 3-star and €314.68 for 4-star) is payable directly to the hotel.
- Valid to book and stay until 29th December 2010.
- Minimum cancellation period of 48 hours, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of the first night's accommodation. Transfers and changes will incur a fee equivalent to the deposit.

Golf Hotel Breaks
- 1 or 2 night break for two persons sharing including breakfast on each morning and one round of golf per person.
- €69 per person sharing (€138 per break) for a 1 night break or €109 per person sharing (€218 per break) for a 2 night break.
- A deposit of €20.84 for a 1 night break and €26.38 for a 2 night break is payable when booking a break and the balance of €117.16 / €191.62 is payable directly to the hotel.
- Valid to book and stay until 29th December 2010.
- Minimum cancellation period of 7 days, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of 50% of the full break amount. Transfers and changes will incur a fee of €17.22 for a 1 night break and €21.80 for a 2 night break.
- Summer pricing: For breaks taken during July and August, the summer price of €79 pps (total €158) will apply for a 1-night stay, and €129 pps (total €258) will apply for a 2-night stay. A deposit of €23.47 for a 1 night break and €31.22 for a 2 night break is payable when booking a break and the balance of €134.53 / €226.78 is payable to the hotel.
Booking your tee-time
The golf hotel you selected will contact you to arrange your tee-time. Tee-times are on your day of arrival in the case of a 1-night golf break and on the second day in the case of a 2-night break. If you do not hear from your hotel within 72 hours of booking your break, please contact the hotel directly.
All tee-times are arranged between you and the golf hotel. If you require additional rounds of golf or services, you can book directly with the golf hotel at your own cost, subject to availability.
Your round of golf can only be taken during your break and cannot, in total or in part, be carried forward or passed on, nor can any refund or partial refund be given.
In the event that your chosen golf course is closed preventing you from playing your round of golf during your stay, an evening meal from the hotel's table d'hôte menu will be offered in lieu. |
Family Suite Breaks
- 4-night break in a one bedroom family suite or 3-night break in a two bedroom deluxe family suite, both of which are self catering.
- €299 per break.
- Deposit of €36.18 is payable when booking a break and the balance of €262.82 is payable directly to the hotel.
- Processing fee of €5.00.
- One bedroom suite accommodates two persons sharing and a two bedroom suite can accommodate up to five people sharing.
- Valid to book and stay until 29th December 2010.
- Minimum cancellation period of 48 hours, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of 50% of the full break amount. Transfers and changes will incur a fee equal to the current deposit amount.
- Summer pricing: €359 per family suite. Deposit of €43.44 is payable when booking a break and the balance of €315.56 is payable to the hotel.

Luxury Spa Hotel Breaks
- 1 or 2 night break for two persons sharing. Breaks include breakfast on each morning, a table d'hôte dinner on one evening and a spa treatment voucher to the value of €100.
- €199 per 1 night break and €285 per 2 night break.
- A deposit of €24.08 for a 1 night break or €34.49 for a 2 night break is payable when booking a break and the balance of €174.92 / €250.52 is payable directly to the hotel.
- Valid for book and stay until 29th December 2010.
- To facilitate customer demand for this product, we do have limited 3-star spa hotel breaks available at the lower price of €189 for a 1-night break and €265 for a 2-night break. You will receive the same great offer as the 4-star break, including your €100 spa voucher, but the hotel is of 3-star standard.
- All extra charges incurred must be paid directly to the spa hotel on departure. The €100 treatment voucher, part of the Luxury Spa Hotel Breaks offer is a designated value and can be applied against any available spa treatments for one person or shared between two persons.
- Your chosen spa hotel will contact you to highlight the range of treatments, the costs and your treatment time. Spa treatments are to be taken on the day of arrival.
- If you do not hear from your chosen hotel within 72 hours of booking your break, please contact the hotel directly.
- All spa treatment arrangements are between you and the spa hotel. If you require over €100 in treatments you can book directly with the spa hotel at your own cost, subject to availability. Your €100 spa treatment voucher can only be used during your break and cannot, in total or part, be carried forward or passed on, nor can any refund or partial refund be given.
- Minimum cancellation period of 7 days, cancellations within this period or failure to arrive for a confirmed booking will be charged a cancellation charge of 50% of the full break amount. Transfers and changes will incur a fee of €24.08 for a 1 night break or €34.49 for a 2 night break.
