Collector Card

3. Collect Getaway Break Points or Tokens, every time you shop at SuperValu

The SuperValu Getaway Breaks promotion enables SuperValu shoppers to avail of great value hotel breaks once they have a completed SuperValu Collector Card. Breaks can be booked prior to the Collector Card being completed, but the completed Collector Card and booking confirmation number must be presented to the hotel upon check in.

SuperValu Getaway Break Collector Cards are available during regular promotional periods in participating SuperValu stores. You can check out your nearest store at www.SuperValu.ie.

In the Republic of Ireland 40 Getaway Breaks tokens will complete a Collector Card. SuperValu issues one Getaway Break token for every €1 spent.

In Northern Ireland, 70 tokens will complete a Collector Card and one token is issued for every £5 spent (we even include the first five tokens for free!).

Current Promotion Dates
Collect tokens all year round from the 1st of January 2010 until the 31st of December 2010 at participating SuperValu Stores.

Collector Cards completed during the period outlined above can be used for breaks taken before December 29th 2010.

General
SuperValu customers have the option to book multiple rooms in a single transaction. If you book multiple rooms, they must be for the same hotel, of the same room-type and for the same dates. One collector card is required at the time of booking; however, you will be required to present a completed collector card per room booked, when checking in.

Real Rewards

Free Getaway Break Tokens When You Join Real Reward:

When you join SuperValu's Real Rewards loyalty programme 500 Getaway Break Points will be immediately credited to your Getaway Breaks Tokens account. This is a bonus to welcome you to the programme, making you eligible to immediately book a Getaway Break. You can become a Real Rewards member by completing an application form at your local participating SuperValu store (check out your nearest store by visiting www.SuperValu.ie).

*Note: Real Rewards is currently only available in the Republic of Ireland.


Simple Steps to Book a SuperValu Getaway Break, as a Real Rewards Member


1. Collect 400 Getaway Break Points by shopping at any participating SuperValu Real Reward store in the Republic of Ireland. One Getaway Break Point is added to your Real Rewards account for every €1 spent when presenting your Real Rewards Key Fob at the register.

2. Once you have 400 Getaway Break Points, you can choose and book your perfect break online at www.SuperValu.ie or by phoning 0818 220088.

Real Rewards Getaway Break Tokens Requirements
As a SuperValu Real Rewards Member you can book your break once you have the required number of Getaway Break Tokens - 400 Getaway Break Points are required per room booked.

Getaway Break Points are separate to all other token types issued under the Real Rewards programmes and only Getaway Break Points can be used against Getaway Break offers. Redeeming your Getaway Break Points to book a break does not impact on you other Point Balances.

Getaway Break Points can be collected with at any participating Real Rewards Store in the Republic of Ireland, with every €1 spent.

Checking Your Token Balance
As a SuperValu Real Rewards Member, you can check your token balance, including your Getaway Breaks token balance, by visiting www.SuperValu.ie. You can also check your balance in any participating SuperValu store.

Validating Tokens and Expiry Dates
Getaway Break Tokens collected during a calendar year can be redeemed at any time during that year against any Getaway Break at the prices and during the dates indicated below.

On the 29th of December 2010, any unused Getaway Break Tokens that are in your account will expire but can be used against breaks booked and taken up to December 29th, 2010 at the prices that apply at that time.

General
SuperValu Real Rewards members have the option to book multiple rooms in a single transaction. If you book multiple rooms, they must be for the same hotel, of the same room-type and for the same dates. 50 Getaway Break Tokens will be automatically deducted for each room booked. For example, if two hotel rooms are booked in one transaction, 100 Getaway Break Tokens will be deducted immediately from your Real Rewards Getaway Breaks Tokens account.

How can I avail of a SuperValu Getaway Break?
Simply shop at SuperValu and collect your Getaway break tokens. Getaway Break Tokens are issued at check-out during your transaction. You will receive one Getaway Break Token for every €10 spent in the Republic of Ireland if you are completing a collector card and 1 Getaway Break Point if you are using your Real Rewards Key Fob. One Getaway Break token is awarded for every £5 spent in a store in Northern Ireland.

When can I collect tokens?
Collect tokens from 1st January 2010 to December 31st 2010 at participating SuperValu Stores.

When can I take my break?
Book and take your break at anytime up until 29th December 2010.

Are the SuperValu Getaway Break promotions really a good value?

The easiest way to explore your options is to go through our website at www.SuperValu.ieto view what's available at the times you wish to take a break. You can browse and book online (the site is very user friendly) or you can book through our Getaway Breaks Booking Line.

What are the standards of Hotels / Holiday Homes on offer?
All Hotels and Holiday Homes participating in the SuperValu Getaway Break promotion are 3-star or greater and are all approved by Fáilte Ireland or the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.

When can I take my SuperValu Getaway Break?
The most popular Getaway Break offers are breaks in Irish Hotels and Holiday Homes. These breaks and others including, Luxury 5-star Castles and Hotels and Luxury Spa Hotel Breaks have different availability dates. The terms and conditions are provided for each category of break and highlight the promotional dates. Breaks currently being featured on the Getaway Breaks programme can be booked until 29th December 2010

What can I do to make sure I can get the location and accommodation I want?
At any one time we have hundreds of offers available throughout Ireland. If you use the website, simply key in your preferred dates and you will be presented with options. Offers change every single day of the week, but the earlier you book the greater your choice.

I'm not very familiar with booking on websites - can I check the website and book via the Getaway Breaks Booking Line?

Yes, however the www.SuperValu.ie website has been redesigned to make it much easier for you to find out what's available at the time you want to take a break and also makes booking online (using a credit card /laser card) easier than ever before. If while you are online, you want to have an agent talk you through the booking process you can phone the call centre or you can browse to see what's available first and then phone to book your getaway break.

Tip: The website is the best place to see the latest offers - it has changing offers every day.

Can I book a break for stays during the months of July and August?
Yes. The SuperValu website www.SuperValu.ie or our call centre can advise of the breaks available during July and August. Rates will feature on our Terms and Conditions page, simply select the offer type and click through.

How do I pay for my SuperValu Getaway Break?
You can pay for your break using your laser card or credit card. In some cases, Post Office Payments are possible but you must book your break via our call centre first. The Terms and Conditions page for your chosen break will explain payment options for each type of break in full.

Can I make a booking close to when I take my break?
You can book most breaks online up to 24 hours before arrival date. For really 'Last Minute' bookings, Hotel Break bookings can be made up to 12.00 noon on the date of arrival and must be made through our call centre. For Spa and Golf Hotel breaks, bookings within 7 days of arrival must be made through our call centre. For Holiday Homes, bookings within 2 days of arrival must also be made through our call centre and paid with a Credit Card or a Laser Card.

Can I book a break on a Bank Holiday or during other Special Event Periods?
This offer is subject to promotional availability and while availability is all-year-round, there may be limited availability during bank holidays and other peak periods.

I'm interested in an Irish Holiday Home Break for the family, but don't want to take a full week. Can I take a short break?
Yes, Irish Holiday Home Breaks can be taken for any number of nights up to seven (7) nights for the same price. Breaks must fall between a Saturday and a Saturday. We also have our great value 5-night hotel break star, which is very popular with families.

What room types are available in hotels?
I am interested in a family room. Most of our hotels offer double rooms (one double bed) or twin rooms (two single beds). Some of our hotels do offer family rooms, which may be booked when available. On our website you can select '2 adults and 1 child' or '2 adults and 2 children' and can similarly request these through our call centre. These rooms, if available, have 1 and 2 extra beds respectively.

How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?
When you have completed the reservation process online, an instant on-screen confirmation will appear. It will show your reservation details as well as your booking reference number. We advise that you print out this document for your records. If you book by phone, you will be given a booking reference number at the end of the booking process. A confirmation email will also be sent if an email address is provided.

HOTEL POLICIES AND FACILITIES

What are the check-in and check-out times of a hotel?

The check-in and check-out times differ by hotel and these are featured on our website, but as a guide, the check-in time is normally after 2pm and check-out is before noon.

If I do arrive late at the hotel, can I still check-in?
Yes. Our advice is that you should contact the hotel directly, but our bookings are guaranteed which means that the hotels are obligated to keep the room for the first night. Should you not show then the hotel is entitled to charge for one night's accommodation.

Can I pay for my stay at the hotel with a different method than the one used to for my booking deposit?
As the payment details taken at the time of booking only apply for your booking deposit, you can pay at the hotel using the payment method of your choice accepted by the hotel.

How do I know if the hotel has the facilities I require e.g. parking, baby-sitting services, etc.?
Our website at www.SuperValu.ie provides you with information on the facilities available through descriptions and the use of symbols. If the information you require is not specified, please contact our call centre.

Do any of the participating SuperValu Getaway Hotels feature Leisure Centres?
Yes. More and more hotels have leisure centres. When you chose your date and location on our website you will be presented with options. Hotels that have leisure centres carry a special symbol.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

How can I cancel or change my booking?

Changes and cancellations can only be made via our call centre. You can also cancel your booking online by clicking on "my booking" on the Getaway Breaks Home Page. Changes to bookings or cancellations vary by offer. For more details, please refer to the Terms & Conditions section of the site.

What if your call centre is closed and I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel your booking outside of call centre hours please cancel online by clicking on "my bookings" on the Home Page of the Hetaway Break site. If you do not hace online access, please contact your hotel direct and advise our call centre at your earliest opportunity. You should only contact the hotel directly if this is an urgent cancellation near to your arrival date.

How do I know that my booking has been cancelled?
After you have cancelled your reservation, your cancellation will be noted and logged on our system. The same reference number issued to your booking will apply to your cancellation. If you have supplied an email addrress at the time of booking, you will receive an email notifying you that your booking has been cancelled.
